René Müller
Chief Investment Officer

René is CEO and CIO of ecamos. Developing systematic trading tools since the age of 16, he started his career in 1989 at Credit Suisse before leaving the bank at the age of 24 to study economics and finance at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. While still at University, he developed an equity trading program with which he advised assets for two Swiss pension funds. Subsequently he was the advisor of two equity funds of the Liechtensteinische Landesbank LLB. In 2004 he then founded ecamos, initially focusing on advisory mandates before launching the ecamos Core Fund in 2011.

Florian Bendl
Chief Operating Officer

Florian Bendl (COO) is in charge of the operations since he re-joined ecamos in January 2020. He was part of the initial ecamos team from 2010 to 2012. Before he joined the firm again, Florian was portfolio manager at several asset management firms where he built quantitative strategies and set up automated end-to-end operations. During this time, he built up his large asset management know-how, especially in the CTA, futures and option trading space. Subsequently he was consulting international banks on their digitization strategy in the wealth management space. Florian holds a M.Sc. in Physics from Ruhr-University Bochum.

Theodor von Oppersdorff
Senior Relationship Manager

Theodor von Oppersdorff has been responsible for sales activities in French-speaking Switzerland at ecamos Capital since August 2020, in the client segments of banks, independent asset managers, family offices, platforms and consultants.  Prior to joining ecamos Capital, von Oppersdorff spent 16 years with Robeco serving the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Prior to that, he also covered the region at Swiss Capital Group, among other things in the area of alternative investments. von Oppersdorff regularly attends training courses and seminars in the areas of public equity and alternative investments as well as legal & compliance.
